Hazardous area cable glands have featured in another report predicting strong growth in cable glands in general between now and 2021.

The latest analysis comes from IndustryARC, a research and consultancy firm with an annual library of more than 500 published reports.

It predicts high growth in the overall cable glands market in Europe and the US throughout the reporting period, driven by high levels of industrialisation in the regions.

Asia-Pacific is also forecasted for strong growth, due to industrialisation and high levels of construction, with local suppliers predicted to perform well in all regions.

But it is hazardous area cable glands that are the stand-out performer worldwide, including those made of durable brass construction.

“The brass cable gland dominates the cable glands market with high market sales across the globe when compared to others,” IndustryARC stated.

“Special cable glands and gland plate are fabricated to sustain hazardous areas with extreme temperatures and caustic environment.”

The forecasts demonstrate the broad appreciation of the protection given by cable glands to important wiring, as well as the extra degree of resistance to extreme environments that comes with those products specifically designed for hazardous areas.
