HDL106 LED floodlights from Chalmit have been hailed as “the future of hazardous area lighting” and with the news that the company has relaunched the range, that future is looking bright.
The modular LED floodlights have been fully retested and recertified since Chalmit acquired the previous manufacturer, Hadar, a year ago.
Fittings now not only meet, but exceed expectations with instant-on crisp white light for industrial lighting, Zone 1 and Zone 2 lighting applications, with certification under ATEX and IECEx.
The modular design allows several luminaires to be linked, with multiple beam options and a variety of mounting options for floodlight, pendant, bulkhead and other locations.
Ken Eddleston, Lighting Product Manager for Chalmit, said: “Our aim with the HDL106N has been to bring back the future of hazardous area lighting.
“We’re reintroducing a much-loved product to the market with the absolute assurance of safety and reliability that our customers have come to expect from all Chalmit products.”
LED lighting in the line-up includes the HDL106N, with interlinking of up to six luminaires and light output equivalent to 400W conventional high-power HID floodlights.
There’s also the HDL106NE emergency luminaire with built-in battery backup; this allows the light to run under its own power for 90 minutes, or for three hours at 50% of its normal power.
Both versions are available on enquiry from Cable Systems, with price on application.
