Telephones for harsh & industrial environments ensure you have a means of communication in all conditions, including in an incident, accident or emergency.
Harsh & industrial telephones are built to withstand a variety of risks, including humidity, dust, temperature extremes, explosions, chemical corrosion and outdoor weather.
Harsh and industrial telephones can operate well below freezing point and at very high ambient temperatures, typically between -20C and +50C, but with some models remaining operational significantly beyond even this range.
Industrial telephones for hazardous areas are rated for different risk levels, including telephones for Zone 2, 21 and 22, as well as telephones for Zone 1 hazardous areas.
Harsh environment telephones also typically carry an ingress protection rating of either:
IP65: Total dust protection and low-pressure water protection
IP66: Total dust protection and high-pressure water protection
Cable Systems stock a wide range of harsh & industrial telephones rated for different environments and risks, including analogue, IP and PoE (Power over Ethernet) base units and accessories.
