MEDC have been designing and manufacturing harsh, industrial and hazardous environment alarm, signal, control and notification equipment since 1975.
Part of the Eaton Crouse-Hinds group of businesses, MEDC is based in Nottinghamshire at Sutton in Ashfield, with a workforce of about 180 people.
The company’s products include hazardous area equipment for signal and control applications both onshore and offshore, in the presence of flammable atmospheres and possible explosion risks.
Approvals and Certifications
MEDC’s products are certified to a range of different standards including ATEX and IECEx, as well as CENELEC, UL, ULC, FM, CSA, CUTR, SGS, INMETRO, CCCF, CQST and PTB.
The company’s activities from development and design, through to manufacture, sales and aftersales are certified to the ISO9001 International Quality Assurance Standard.
MEDC also has approval from several major UK organisations, including British Gas, UK Coal Mining and the Ministry of Defence.
