LED emergency lighting is predicted to see double-digit growth for the next five years at least, driven by concerns including natural disasters and terrorist attacks. The use of LED emergency lighting in hazardous areas is particularly popular thanks to the reliability and longevity of the luminaires, and the ability of LEDs to light an area without introducing excess heat levels that could ignite fumes and vapours. Emergency lighting is even finding its way into domestic properties, thanks to the development of more architectural designs. Together, all of these driving forces add up to bright prospects for the immediate future of the global LED emergency lighting market.
According to the newly published report from Research and Markets, the industry will grow from its 2016 value at a compound annual growth rate of 11.7% through until at least 2022.
“The global LED emergency lighting market is expected to grow at a significant rate during the forecast period,” the analyst states.
“This is due to the integration of the security industry with LED lighting, changing the paradigm of the lighting industry to the electronics and healthcare industry, and the continuous advancement in upcoming products.”
